We held our first SPIN-D dementia research sandpit in collaboration with Health Innovation South West on 3rd March 2025. The sandpit was a collaborative space to explore new ideas in dementia and brain health. The theme was “Design, repurpose and adapt approaches, resources, and activities to support brain health and improve the lives of people with neuro-degenerative conditions.”

The event provided a valuable platform for researchers, industry professionals, practitioners, and individuals with lived experience of dementia to come together and share insights and knowledge. It also facilitated important collaborations on projects aimed at deepening our understanding of brain health, assessing dementia risk factors, and enhancing support for those living with dementia.
