We are excited to launch the first episode of the SPIN-D Network+ podcast series – a new platform for conversations that bring together science, lived experience, and creative perspectives on dementia and brain health.
Episode 1: The Power of Public Involvement and Creative Collaboration in Dementia Research
In this episode, we explore the unique partnership between researchers, artists, and people with lived experience of dementia. The discussion offers insight into how collaborative approaches can shape more meaningful, inclusive research, challenge stigma, and drive change.
The SPIN-D podcast aims to spotlight critical themes in dementia research and public engagement, featuring voices from across the sector. Episodes will include conversations with academics, creative practitioners, and individuals affected by dementia.
This first episode sets the tone for the series, aligning with our mission to support interdisciplinary, community-driven responses to the challenges of brain health.
Stay tuned for more episodes in the lead-up to our Festival of Science and Arts of Brain Health & Dementia, taking place 2–3 July 2025 at UCL East.
