Arrival and registration

Signage will be displayed in the hotel reception to direct guests to the correct meeting room.

On arrival, please sign in with a member of the SPIN-D team, who will be managing the registration sheet. SPIN-D staff will be identifiable by their SPIN-D lanyards.

Lunch and refreshments

Refreshments will be provided throughout the event. A working buffet lunch will be served in the meeting room, allowing attendees to continue conversations and networking over lunch. The buffet will include:

  • sandwiches or wraps
  • a selection of salad dishes
  • hot items, such as spring rolls
  • a selection of desserts

Capturing the day

We are also pleased to have the event captured in two different ways.

  • James Baylay of James the Scribe will be joining us as our live illustrator, visually capturing key ideas, discussions and themes from across the day as they unfold.
  • The event will also be photographed by York-based commercial and event photographer Allan Scott, helping us create a photographic record of the Showcase and the people taking part. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let a member of the SPIN-D team know on the day. SPIN-D staff will be wearing SPIN-D lanyards and will be happy to make the photographer aware.
