‘Let’s Talk Dementia: Fiction, Fact and Hope’
SPIN-D Network Plus Festival of Science and Arts of Brain Health & Dementia 2025
Wednesday, 2nd – Thursday, 3rd July 2025, UCL-East, London
We were delighted to host the first annual gathering of the Sustainable Prevention Innovation and Involvement Network Plus. The mixture of talks, films and creative activities are an example of co-production in action. Planning involved people with living with dementia, researchers, health and social care workers, voluntary and charitable sector and business.
The theme of ‘Fiction, Fact and Hope’ was very timely. It is not unusual for widely publicised facts to be discredited at a later date. Mainstream and social media are awash with myths… but also with inspiration and hope on how to live well with dementia. Thank you for choosing to join our event and we were delighted to spend that time with you.
The SPIN-D Festival planning group included: Emily Paremain, Alice Rosalind Winters, Ruth Eley, Debra Gingell, Jane Cross, Kate North, Gina Hack, Fiona Poland, Georgina Charlesworth, Chris Fox.
